Zomato Takes Quirky To Orgasmic Levels By Advertising On Porn Websites!

Zomato has always been quirky with their digital marketing, but this time around they have taken it to orgasmic levels. Literally.

They have started to advertise on Porn websites and it’s a big success. Why porn websites, you ask? People watch porn, and people get hungry. Simple!

Zomato published the following facts :

  • India ranks #5 in terms of most daily visitors to Pornhub (the world’s biggest porn site network)

  • Outside of Google, Facebook, Yahoo, and e-commerce sites, Xvideos is one of India’s top visited sites

  • The average time spent on the site by Indians is ~8 minutes (yes, really, just 8 minutes #quickgunmurugan)

So they advertised on porn sites. Sheesh, they actually got to visit adult websites while at work for “research”. Here are a few examples of the ads that were rolled out.

What’s better? The Cost Per Click for this was only Rs. 1.98 as compared to Rs. 17.5 on Facebook and Rs. 23.5 on Adwords.

Zomato has definitely ‘come‘ out a winner in this campaign!
